What You'll Need
Bacteriostatic Water
Sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol
Insulin Syringes
1ml syringes with fine gauge needles
Alcohol Swabs
For sterilizing vial tops
Step-by-Step Instructions
Prepare Your Workspace
Clean your work area thoroughly. Wash hands and put on gloves if available. Gather all materials before beginning.
Clean the Vial Tops
Use an alcohol swab to clean the top of both the peptide vial and the bacteriostatic water vial. Allow to air dry for 30 seconds.
Draw the Bacteriostatic Water
Using a sterile syringe, draw the appropriate amount of bacteriostatic water. Common amounts: 1ml or 2ml depending on desired concentration.
Add Water to Peptide Vial
Insert the needle into the peptide vial at an angle. Slowly release the water down the inside wall of the vial. Do NOT spray directly onto the powder.
Allow to Dissolve
Let the vial sit for 1-2 minutes. Gently swirl (do not shake) if needed. The solution should be clear with no visible particles.
Store Properly
Label the vial with the date and concentration. Store in refrigerator at 2-8°C. Use within the recommended timeframe.
Common Reconstitution Amounts
| Peptide Amount | BAC Water | Concentration |
|---|---|---|
| 5mg | 1ml | 5mg/ml (5000mcg/ml) |
| 5mg | 2ml | 2.5mg/ml (2500mcg/ml) |
| 10mg | 1ml | 10mg/ml (10000mcg/ml) |
| 10mg | 2ml | 5mg/ml (5000mcg/ml) |
Pro Tips
- Never shake peptides vigorously - this can damage the molecules
- Use the peptide calculator to determine exact dosing
- Always use bacteriostatic water, not sterile water, for multi-use vials
- If the solution appears cloudy or has particles, do not use
